Refund & Cancellation Terms

this refund policy explains how finshark handles fees, cancellations and refunds for its financial and business advisory services. it applies alongside the terms of your engagement letter, which take precedence where there is any difference.

Nature of Our Services

finshark provides professional advisory and compliance services. because work typically begins promptly and involves professional time, fees are generally non-refundable once work has commenced, except as described below.

Consultation Fees

fees paid for a scheduled consultation are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place. if you need to reschedule, let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we will move your slot at no extra charge.

Engagement Advances

where an advance or retainer is paid for an engagement, the portion corresponding to work already performed is non-refundable. any unused balance, after accounting for time and costs incurred, will be refunded.

Cancellations

you may cancel an engagement by written notice. you remain responsible for fees and out-of-pocket costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.

How to Request a Refund

to request a refund, email office@finshark.in with your name, engagement details and the reason for your request. we will review and respond within a reasonable time.

Processing

approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period, subject to your bank's or payment provider's timelines.

Key Points in Plain Language

If you attend a consultation, the fee is not refunded because our time was set aside for you. If you need to reschedule, tell us at least 24 hours in advance and we will move your slot at no cost.

If you pay an advance for a longer engagement and choose to stop, we refund the unused part. The portion for work already done is not refunded. This is fair to both sides.

If you cancel an engagement, let us know in writing. You are responsible for fees and costs up to that date. We then close the engagement and return any remaining balance.
